Tom began his horticultural journey with an apprenticeship at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney. From collecting wild specimens with botanists, to curating glasshouse collections, to planting formal beds and pruning roses — he learned to work with precision, care, and deep respect for plant life.
Later, Tom took on leadership roles at Centennial Parklands, managing both horticulture and turf care teams. He gained additional qualifications in: Applied Science (Landscaping); Tree Surgery; Nutritional Farming; and the Certificate IV in Horticulture.
Since 2017, Tom has quietly built Earth Garden Work into a trusted solo gardening service. He works with homeowners across Noosa and the Hinterland — including Cooroibah, Cooroy, Doonan, Eumundi, Tewantin, and Tinbeerwah — delivering high-quality maintenance, design advice, and plant care.
